2014 - The Trouble with Harry
MKA: Theatre of New Writing present
The Trouble with Harry
How far would you go to protect the world you’d made?
In 1920’s Sydney, Harry Crawford seems an ordinary, decent bloke. He and the wife Annie are working hard to raise a lad but Harry hides a dark and troubling past. When a strange girl comes to the door, she threatens to unravel his carefully constructed identity and 20 years of secrets.
Lachlan Philpott rips back the curtains on the true case of Eugenia Falleni AKA Harry Crawford, the notorious ‘Man-Woman’ murderer that scandalised 1920s Sydney exploring ideas of gender, perversion and complicity.
Speakeasy are thrilled to be hosting MKA: Theatre Of New Writing during the festival – one of Australia’s most daring Independent theatre companies.
