Coming to the end of the Year

December is fast becoming the month of frantically trying to get things finished and/or finalised for next year. The major project I have on the go at the moment is finishing a rough first draft of a novel, Stripped, which examines the impact of an unexpected death upon a family and close circle of friends. Stripped is a contemporary take on Faulkner's As I Lay Dying, set in the streets, offices and clubs of inner-city Melbourne.

On top of that I've been talking to the Malthouse about two possible projects for next year,both of which are really fabulous, and which I'll hear about before Christmas.

In the meantime, I battle on with words, ideas, and the chaos inside my brain.
